Wellness Month at The Station

Join us at The Station throughout August as we celebrate Wellness Month, sponsored by Kiss the Moon. Enjoy some dedicated ‘me time’ at our series of health, well-being and creative events including:

• Reflexology at The Station, with CalmSoul - Saturday 5th August ,Saturday 12th August, Sunday 13th August, Saturday August 19^th, 1pm - 3:30pm

Reflexology helps relaxation and can reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. It can aid sleep and can bring the body back to a balanced, harmonious state. Why not give it a go and see how you feel.

• An Introduction to Summer Foraging - Sunday 6th August, 10am - 2pm

Are you looking to reconnect with nature having spent too much time inside? Are you having a rethink about your impact on the natural world? This is your chance - find out what delicious wild food grows in typical UK countryside and learn how to forage for yourself!

• Wet Felting Workshop - Saturday 12th August, 9:30am - 4pm

Learn the relaxing art of wet felting with artists Harriet Morley at this all day workshop.

• Free Creative Calm Fabric Painting - Wednesday 16th August, 10:30am - 12:30pm

Come along and try a free session of creativity incorporating fabric painting, designed to allow you to switch of and enjoy a creative process for a few hours.

• Free Pilates Taster Session - Thursday 17th August, 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Pilates is a great way to improve balance, flexibility, core strength, muscle tone, posture and breathing in order to maintain your independence and quality of life. If you have never been to a gym or are a regular gym-goer, Pilates will improve your overall body strength and help to keep you injury-free.

Try out Pilates with our regular class leader, Joanna, in this free one-hour taster session.

• Free Yoga Taster Session - Thursday 24th August, 2pm - 3pm

For those new to yoga or returning to your practice. Enjoy exploring yoga postures (asanas) and how to adapt them for your own body. Learn about the different breath techniques and how to relax.

Try out Yoga with our regular class leader, Deborah, in this free one-hour taster session. You will need to bring your own mat.

• Quieten the Mind  - for Sleep - a Creative Wellbeing Workshop with Guided Meditation - Tuesday 22nd August, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Local designer and wellbeing expert, Astrid Blake guide’s you through a Creative Wellbeing Workshop designed to give you skills and techniques to Quieten your Mind for bedtime and mindfully drift off to a better sleep.

£15 per person

• Pet Photography - Saturday 26th August 2023, 10am - 4pm

Mans best friend can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. Celebrate your four legged friend with a pet photoshoot at The Station.
